Woj says we're trying to move Meeks
Piston's get Paul George
Pacer's get:
KCP
Tobias Harris
Stanley Johnson
2017 1st
2018 2nd
2019 1st
DO IT! DO IT!
Is there a way to swap KCP and Tobias for Boban and, like, Gbinije or something?
lemme go get SVG and Bird on the horn. brb
They said, NO!
srsly, Harris is about the only one I don't want to trade. Not sure what late 1st rounders have been brining lately.
Failed to add Monta Ellis to our get.
Way too much
Wondering if I'm overvaluing George, cuz I don't think what we're giving up is too much for one of the top players in the league. George is a top 10-15 scorer in the league? Top 25 player overall in the league? At least that's what I'm thinking. So giving up KCP who is about to be overpaid, SJ who is struggling doesn't bother me. Harris is a good solid player, but not at George's level. Not sure how to value the draft picks.
Too much by like double.
How are we going to get over the slightly better than .500 winning % hump? Wait and see if we get lucky on one of our 1st rounders? That might take a while. Hopefully Dre will still be around.
We are going to have to overpay a little bit to get a SS here. I realize y'all think that is a 'way ovepay'. Maybe George isn't as good as I think he is. Not sure. But I'd still do it or ask for a Pacer 1st back?
Everyone on the team is like 25.
And to be clear, no, I don't think as-is we have the pieces to actually win the whole thing....but need to le tthe team develop not blow it up. They've been pretty successful for how young they are.
And I think you're overvaluing George...yes, he'd probably be the best player on the Pistons but I don't think he's significantly better than players we already have....He's a 3rd tier star.
Just a lil twitter fun, John Wall and Henson

Seems to me that we have some good contracts. Harris and MM come to mind that produce and have good value for their contracts. You need those guys, good contracts who produce, to counter the max guys. Need rookie contracts too.
I'm not sure our max guys are all that. I'd take Dre 99 times out of 100 over RJ. But even Dre has pimples. He rebounds and can finish the lob great. But motor is huge question. Does he show up every night? FT shooting isn't a question; its been answered, he sucks. Low post offensive game? Not sure. I don't even want to get into RJ. I'm just not a fan. Not saying he doesn't get hot. I just don't get his game half the time.
Ok, off to the refrigerator. Pkshhh!
Pretend trade from DBB
http://www.detroitbadboys.com/2017/1...-tobias-harris
I would probably do that with the caveat that I can't remember the last time i saw Gallinari play.
THe free throw thing has been bothering me big time, the disparity has been insane at times, and a lot of the calls against us are some really touchy stuff that's not getting called both ways.
Bad deal. Tobias is maybe our best player, younger, and locked up for less than what you'd have to pay Gallo, IF you can re-sign him.
Harris is.
But he can't be our best player because we didn't trade much for him. He didn't come at a steep price, so he can't be because we have all these maxed out super stars like Dre who can't shoot FTs and RJ who we overhype every game. /s
Hearing rumors about Reggie Jackson for Ricky Rubio.
^ Honestly thought might've been a Gooshill thing. lol
He broke this 3 days ago

Some dude on Bleacher Report put out a three team trade idea that had us sending Reggie to the Magic and getting back Hezonja from ORL and Lou Williams from the Fakers.
Seems like lots of smoke around Pistons this year. Guessing "it" might "happen".
<--- This http://a.espncdn.com/i/espn/teamlogo...sider_logo.gif right here is now hearing Reggie for Augustin and Jeff Green.
Jeff Green makes me wanna hurl, even if it's an expiring.
Get the feeling Dre will be gone, you guys.
Get the feeling that they might trade the whole team.
Well today was uneventful
yawn
All that hype and this is what we got.
Today is THE MASTER (2012, dir. Paul Thomas Anderson) of trade deadlines.

Marc Stein sez Pistons looking to trade #12 pick for a "win-now" veteran. What, exactly, the veteran is supposed to help the Pistons win is still a mystery.
