And people never understand how we didn't have bird rights to Memo. It's the same reason Arenas left GSW for nothing.

Phil Wenneck: The man purse. You actually gonna wear that or are you just fuckin' with me?
Alan Garner: It's where I keep all my things. Get a lot of compliments on this. Plus it's not a purse, it's called a satchel. Indiana Jones wears one.
That was a really stupid article. Saying the Pistons should have won a lot more with the couple injuries they have is ludicrous. This team has been destroyed by injury. Their top 3 players have missed a lot of the season.
I agree they've played like shit, but it's not like they've underperformed so much that we should want everyone fired.

WTF? That article is just shit.
Rise like Lions after slumber,

Which in sleep had fallen on you -
Ye are many - they are few.
Utter shit.
Players meeting my ASS!
This was said about the Wizards, but it could apply in other places, too.
"If you're running a team you can either sell success or you can sell hope but that's about it," said one high-ranking executive. "They've got a new owner coming [in Washington] and right now they sure can't sell success so you can understand why they are looking at some options to have hope by the [trade] deadline. You expect them to look at all their options to do it."

For as long as I have been watching basketball (20 years), the Wizards have always been a below average team with a couple average seasons sprinkled in.
At this point, my opinion of Dumars rests on if he can get something for unloading Rip Hamilton. It's hard because of Rip's contract, yes, but Joe made this bed when he extended Rip. It was Dumars' choice to extend Rip while trading Chauncey for
a) A redundant player (AI when Rip was there)
b) cap space which he used on another scoring 2-guard
Its painfully obvious that Rip and Tay no longer fit with the young roster we built, the scrappy one who looked like fighters even in losses.
IF Washington are looking for "hope" then they'll be looking for the same things every rebuilding team looks for:
expiring contracts and young talent for their pricey veterans.
I can't see them taking Rip but Tayshaun going there could be an option, simply because of his short contract.
Do we want any Wizards, though?

Flip Saunders is not a "hope" coach.
