Looks like we're taking the kids there for an overnight in mid Oct. Museums, shopping, the works, really.
Anything to be concerned about besides the marathon and getting murdered?
Museum of science and history worthwhile?

Science and industry, I guess it is.
Is The Palmer House nice?

you guys going to go visit Vinny?
Science and Industry is actually really fun. The Palmer House has a super nice lobby but careful with the room you book because it is a very old hotel....i booked a 'Double Room' for my dad and nephews there last year for like $280...turns out a 'Double Room' means literally one double bed in a 6 foot by 9 foot closet. See if you can get on the Club level or at least make sure of the room-size....i think my experience is the exception not the rule. Check out the Hyatt otherwise, nice and reasonable if you book far enough ahead...($169 usually).
Go to hottix.org if you have any interest in seeing a show. You can get blue man group tickets for like half off sometimes. Still $34 a pop but better then full price....Glan you'd probably really like Million Dollar Quartet too.... http://www.milliondollarquartetlive.com/ ... They have discounted tickets on there sometimes too...
Me likes Chicago.
That is all.
Players meeting my ASS!
Thanks, Vinny.
Only there for 2 days 1 night so trying to make the most of our time. I'm voting for a newer hotel, so that's good ammo on the Palmer Hizzouse.

If you're looking for cheap in downtown Chicago, check out the Red Roof Inn. It's a dive, but a cheap dive.
Note that hotels want to dick you on parking, so check out your hotel's proximity to Millenium Garage.
Of course, there's always the train to Chicago... especially from GR, that might be fun.
Thanks. I looked into the train a few years ago, but I think there may be a better (faster) train option these days.
We're not looking for "cheap" on the hotel, more nice/clean/big/safe, but thanks.
