Update: It has been over 8 years since my previous post re: my alarm clock, and the device is still operating on the same battery.

(Also shown is a tube of O'Keefe's Working Hands hand cream, which I do not recommend because it smells and feels bad while not being significantly more effective than competing products, but I digress.)
It no longer keeps the correct time, so it has long been retired from active duty. Nonetheless, its unexpected longevity is inspiring, reminding one of the Voyager probes which now sail through interstellar space. I have not been able to figure out how to contact the Smithsonian for donation purposes, so at present I cannot fulfill that promise as made in post #2105. Thanks once again.
